The Adventure Company was started in 2000! We’ve hosted some of the greatest social rides on the planet!

Tri Nations, Quads 4 Quads, Swazi Mangala… Yup! Thats us!

The trails are always fun, not overly hectic and generally cater for riders of all skill levels.

All trails are marked and technical routes have escape routes for the not-so-brave.

Marshals, medics and back-up on every ride.

Join us for an amazing ride in the bush. Dirt bikes, quads and side-by-sides are welcome.

Some of our rides can accommodate adventure bikes as well.

This year, at the end of June, the Tri Nations ride from Pongola in northern Natal to beautiful Ponta Do Ouro in Mozambique is a go!

This event first started in around 2010 and enjoyed a really successful run.

Participants meet in Pongola of all places and enjoy a marked trail for roughly 300 kilometres all the way to the beach in Mozambique.

“Our team has spent a week or two out looking for routes, chatting to induna’s, farmers and officials and the event has been given the green light for 2025” says The Adventure Company’s Corinne Andrews.

“It’s a great African adventure, interesting trails with so many cool things to see!”

The ride takes in a loop through the farmlands of Pongola, across the border through Eswatini and back into SA for a day of sandy trails before crossing the border into Mozambique where participants are encouraged to take a day off to catch the sun and seaside..

“Dirtbikes, Quads and Side By Sides are all welcome!” says Andrews.

“It’s not a race, it’s a great ride through some great parts of SA and her neighbours.”

What our riders had to say about our commitment and going the extra mile...

Thanks for a lekker ride. We had a great time!

Steve

What an outride! The route was well thought out. A couple of technical points, but not too hectic that the kids could not participate. All the effort your team put into the day is greatly appreciated, thank you! We look forward to the next one!

Melody

Social Responsibility

We have always made it our responsibility to give back to the rural community where most of our rides take place.

We must have handed out thousands of soccer balls in the last 14 years. We believe we can change the world with a soccer ball. We also collect and hand out school books and pens to remote schools as well as clothes and food. We have raised in excess of R8m for the Quad Para Association of South Africa.

Our Christmas ride in the Balfour area is an emotional one. We collect food, clothing and necessary items for the Sunfield Home which is home to about 110 disabled adults and children. This yearly event is high on their social calendar and they spend weeks practising their Christmas Carols which they very proudly sing for us. There aren’t many dry eyes in the crowds.

What we spend your donation money on

A special thank you to all our clients who gave cash donations in December 2020. We collected R46 400 which has been handed over to the Sunfields Home. Previously we collected R17 000 and bought mattresses and seedlings for the Home.

Johannesburg to Durban in the dirt... an adventure of a lifetime for a great cause

Fundraising Number: 000881

This event was started in 2004 in the sugar cane fields in Tongaat with just 200 riders and have been growing steadily for 15 years. Quads 4 Quads is an off-road bike/quad/side-by-side event that now runs from Johannesburg to Richards Bay. 1000 km of off-road riding to raise funds for the QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA). Family Adventures chose QASA as the beneficiary of this fundraising ride and over the last 15 years more than R8 million has been donated. Hundreds of off-road enthusiasts participate in this awesome ride and make a difference to the lives of quadriplegics and paraplegics in South Africa.
WHO IS QASA?

The QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) is a non-profit organisation (NPO 000-881) for quadriplegics and paraplegics in South Africa.

QASA’s mission is to be an effective “co-ordinating, policy-making and supporting organisation striving to prevent spinal cord injury and to improve the lives of quadriplegics and paraplegics by securing resources to advocate, educate, capacitate, support and mobilise.”

QASA is a member of the South Africa Disability Alliance (SADA) and has significant relationships with other organisations, such as the Department of Social Development, the Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players Fund and the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities in South Africa (NCPPDSA).

Six Regional Associations are affiliated to QASA: Gauteng South, Gauteng North, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, North West and KwaZulu-Natal. The QASA Management Board is made up of representatives of each Regional Association.

QASA’s projects and services include advocacy & lobbying; conducting awareness campaigns on the cause and prevention of spinal cord injury; publication and distribution of information on disability rights; rural outreach; developing social enterprises to sustain individuals and Regional Associations; providing sport and hobby activities; driver training in adapted vehicles, provision of transport, provision of education bursaries and facilitating skills development through internships, computer training, consulting, disability sensitizing and workshops.

QASA provides assistive devices, mobility aids and peer support as part of our empowerment responsibilities. Batteries for Quadriplegics using power wheelchairs, and various publications are all in QASA’s stable of products.

QASA is sustained by strategic relationships with corporates, social enterprise, the National Lottery Commission and a number of campaigns & events. Some of QASA’s projects generate revenue which services the essential non-revenue generating projects.
